Shakib already has 5 wickets from just 2 games. The leading wicket taker in IPL has 10 wickets. Had Shakib played the first 2 games he probably would have had 8 wickets by now.

That was the case last year as well. Had he played the majority of the matches, he could've been the leading wicket taker.

This is what Royals are good at, they have a good mix of international and local players. Rahane is the leading run scorer in this year's IPL. So far this worked for them. I'm sure if Rahane and the rest of Royals top order keep failing, they will send Hodge up the order.
