View Full Version : Mr. Sehwag has a jibe at us again!

Maysun
November 15, 2012, 10:10 AM
I don't want this to be the topic of discussion when our side has batted well so far and we are in a series with WI.

But Mr. Sehfag has taken a dig at us again! On being asked, if India had the advantage and the game was over, Sehwag replied they have to toil hard to take the 20 English wickets. And the English aren't Bangladesh.

So far, it has been true. Our batsmen gift their wickets like today and has done so in the past. But we also batted well and showed great temperament and patience.

I hope our players read his comment and it will spur them on and motivate to do well.

Read his comment towards the end of the article.

See, I don't really see the point of getting mad at everything that everyone says about us. We are mature enough at this level now that we should be able to answer them with bat and ball. If we can't, nothing else matters. And if we can, nothing else matters.

Not the first time Sehwag has berated Bangladeshi cricket. Its because he talks like this he will never be in the league of Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly despite boasting such a record.

Sehwag has got the brains of a 13 year old . Only His superior hand eye co ordinatinan has taken him this far in international cricket . He can learn a lot from his legenadary teammate Tendulkar.

This is annoying... Responding only inspire people to say more...reply with performance if we can all will be quiet. But reacting like this and performance doesn't match...we look like jokers...

Its true. We only managed 4 wickets from WI in the first innings by the time they declared.

Our only saving grace in this series maybe that WI might not have a 20 wicket taking attack either.

He is right. Move on.
From 455 to 550, then beyond...

then select the proper team for the second test, including two specialist spinners and taking out the non-performers, we move on again...

and the likes of Sehwag & Co. would say...

"I don't think so, because we have to work hard to take 20 Tigers wickets. They are not us or somebody else. They are a very good side, No. 3 at the moment. They will not throw their wickets for sure."

i am not sure about ganguly. we think he is bangladesh's friend, as he speak bengali and bangla cricketers are big fan of him. but i feel like he has something against bangla cricketer. i noticed in IPL, his attitude towards mash, shakib in KKR and for pune warrior attitude towards tamim. could be jealousy, could be he just think them lower rated.

its true but we dont want constant reminder from guy like shehwag. how many times tendulkar does that against any team. i think shehwag is just low life person and by doing this he is losing bangla fan. i used to be biggest fan of shehwag

Where's Mr Show-Hagu's professionalism? These are international professional cricketers. No matter how weak or how badly your fellow cricketers play you don't ever mock them or reference them in any bad way whatsoever at least not in public. As a professional player he should show some respect to other players and teams. It's a common courtesy. Sports personalities are regarded as role model for the younger generations. Such words may be true to some but it's not necessary to put it out in the public.

He's lacking some common sense and professionalism. Sounds like he came from the gutter or he's holding some serious grudge against us. Could it be the 2007 WC knockout? I don't know. May be he wants to stir our boys up mentally so that they don't do well. There are some polite Indian cricketers but show-hagu is just a f *****g c***t

I could take a good dig at Sehwag, saying how his lack of education and class really shows in his pathetic comments, every time he opens his mouth.

But I won't. I am no international cricketer, or anyone too important for that matter. However, I am a supporter of the Bangladesh cricket team. And I would like to believe every single supporter of Bangladesh cricket team has more class than Virender Sehwag. I may not be a multimillionaire or part of a world cup winning team. But at least my colleagues have a ton more respect as to my intelligence level than him. They also know I won't try to backstab them in every opportunity due to any superiority/inferiority complex. They certainly know I have high morals and am compassionate.

But it is typical Sehwag. He doesn't know to choose the right words. But I genuinely dont think he meant disrespect specifically to Bangladesh cricket. Bit like saying Iran is no Iraq and will not give up like Iraq. It is not a question of being disrespectful, just stating that it is not a weak team and not to be taken lightly.
