View Full Version : Mushy's excuses on not using part time bowlers

"I wanted to use Mominul or Nasir, but they had a partnership going till the 35th over," Mushfiqur said. "Using occasional bowler against set batsmen would have been tough on them given the fielding restrictions these days."

This is what he said after the 3rd odi. Are beta, you use a part timer to break a Partnarship, not against a new batsman to get their eye in. I'm sure his excuse will be same today too.

Faltu ekta. You can make mistake once, but not twice in a row

Ever heard of the term "partnership breaker" Mushy? We have a master of that term in Sir Ash.

Seriously, should've brought in Nasir when it was 13th-14h over! I cant believe he even thought about bringing back Rubel!

IDIOT!!!

Shahadat and Rubel are turning out to be worst bowlers in the history of cricket.

Mushy turns out to be the worst captain in the history of cricket in terms of using bowlers. HaBa was better than him. Mushy just executes the dressing room plan made before the match.

Alright. Mushy is being dumb here, but what is our coach doing? He could say to Mushy, "Look, I think you could use some overs from the part timers when the front line bowlers are being expensive". His job includes that as well I believe.

SJ is no good at all. The strategy which we saw during WI series from Saqlain, not SJ.

I am not gonna give more time to SJ. It's really getting pathetic!

Mushy totally sucks as a captain. He does not know how to use the bowler at all. Why don't you give part timer few overs during middle period. Who ever bowl could not be worse than Shahadat or Rubel.

It is hard to appreciate Mushy as a captain, when he makes moronic decisions or uses stupid tactics.

i don't understand mushy's persistence to make certain "pacers" bowl death overs. WHY MUSHY WHY???

March 31, 2013, 10:21 AM
Mushi is dumb? dont mind with that, but who said bowlers to give 26 extras? who said to to bowl more than 2 overs wides? Who said to bowl short balls to our pacers? who said to misfield and missing run outs? Blaming Mushi will not help our bowling and game like these.

Question: what do you call someone who does the same things over and over again expecting different results?

Most of those extra runs were given by our pacers. Mushy saw how poor the two pacers bowl during opening spell. Why did he use them in the slog overs?

Mushy just didn't use Nasir or any other part timer option. Our pacers have been giving runs at more than 7 runs per over throughout this series. We noticed this. Didn't he?

There is reason why BD called as minnow and rightly so. A captain can do jack with craps all around, captain included could be called as such at best. Then again the outcome remain the same in a long run with craps around. We fans are insane in that sense too.

I highly doubt a parter would've given up 58 runs in those last 4 overs! Rahim better hear about this or he will never learn. This is some BS textbook cricket.

I have come to the conclusion that Mushy suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Examples:
- Ignoring part timers constantly
- Picking Shahadat; and
- Yeah Definitely

Still the man for the job but he needs to learn and learn fast.
He can be very obvious at times and cracks under pressure.
Should have used part timers and MUST NOT have left the few overs to Shahadat and Rubel.
Had he used Nasir/Mominul/Ash/ for 2-3 overs between 12-15 overs, he could have gone back to Gazi and Raz for the death overs.

Poor stuff but I hope he would learn from this mistakes.

It's basic cricket to know that when your "starters" go for runs, you cover their overs by bringing in part-timers. That's a part-timers job. This is nothing new. I thought he was the U-19 captain. What kodu did he learn about captaincy after all these years?

And anyone who thinks Nasir or Mominul or whoever would be more expensive than Rubel and Shahdada is a dumbeff in my book.

I also hope he would learn. But I have a fear that he would not. In the Asia cup final, he did the same mistake. Shahadat gave 18 runs in that over which costed us the cup. He did the same thing in this ODI series as well.

But we have to remain hopeful. Cause we have no other way.:)

Zia bowled reasonably , albeit better than Sharapova when he played last. Now, what the heck SH done that our beloved captain included him in the best XI?? I am clueless.

i heard atahar saying before the match that bd was looking for real pace bowler for the t20, not the medium/military ones.. so rubel and shahadat both will play.

Hell you don't have to go back that far. In last series Rubel got murdered in the last over by Uncle Sam. In 2 games in fact. A day later he did the same sh!t, and brought in Rubel to bowl the last over against the same ol' uncle Sam. Result: same.

I think he's trying to show faith in his front man and everything. But cmon!

No he won't. Our team management and selectors are more than ok with losing by 17 runs. They will go home, get a tap in the back for good try better luck next time and move on.

We need to do something for wrong team selection. Enough is enough.

We are seeing that nothing is changing, captain, coach everyone is making same mistakes. Zia was better option, Mosharraf was even better. But they made another blunder.

We need to step up and protest for wrong team selection. We must do something.

Nasir/Mominul could have easily bowled 2 non-powerplay overs today. They couldnt have done that bad given the batsmen were just pushing for singles.

We should learn from SL about captaincy ! They have been rotating captaincy for long time and its paying off . If Mushy was SL's captain , definitely he would start bowling with Melanga instead of Mathews . Mathew was successful because he has used his line , length and brain . We had Zia to be used like Mathew but moron we didn't !!

I guess our players including Mushy don't watch some matches (and also listen to commentary) on TV as many of us do (well we have to!!). If they did .. they would have known may small tricky things.. like using partimers to break partnerships... and so on.
Even once I was read in Sakib's interview that he does not watch much cricket on TV other than the Pak matches... strange isn't it?

It's not as if they're bowling 145+ is it? Plain retarded.

Bowlers are singlehandedly costing BD, while batsmen are actually starting to step up.

does shahadat even hit 140 these days? if so i bet it's not very often. shahadat use to bowl with good pace, nowadays he bowls a lot more in the 130s and 120s but still has poor line and length.

I thought Ziaur bowls slightly slower than Shahadat, but at least doesn't spray it as much as him.
