Dhaka is going to host an exceptional cricket tournament with the participation of showbiz and cricket stars from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan in February.
The four-day tournament styled “Love of Cricket (LOC)” will be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, reports the Bangla daily Prothom Alo.
Bangladeshi stars Shakib Khan, Ferdous, Nobel, Tahsan, Indian stars Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Sunil Shetty, Bobi Dewal, Ritesh Deshmukh, Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar, among others, will take part in the tournament.
Nipun, Ruhi, Piya, Mehjabin, Sunny Leon and Sonakshi, among others, will be present at the playground to inspire them.
Each game will be followed by cultural programmes. Sunidhi Chauhan, Himesh Reshammiya, Shaan, Mika Singh, Riziwa Parvin, Shuvra Deb, Akhi Alamgir, Kona and Konal, among others, are scheduled to sing in the cultural programmes.
“We want to define it as celebrity carnival as a festive atmosphere will prevail in Dhaka through the event,” said one of the conveners, Kamal Zaman, chairman of Bhasabi Celebrity Cricket Club Limited.
“It will also contribute to have warm relation among the stars of the three countries,” he hoped.

Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, acting chief executive of Bangladesh Cricket Board, said that the board has got a proposal for infrastructural assistance from organisers. “We may decide on it in the next board meeting,” he said.
Bollywood actor Sohail Khan will be in-charge of Indian team. He had earlier visited Dhaka and met with the organisers, the daily reports.
“Sohail Khan and several other organisers have already visited Mirpur ground,” said Syed Abdul Baten, grounds manager of Bangladesh Cricket Board.
ATN Bangla will be the media partner of the event as Bhasabi Celebrity Cricket Club has signed a memorandum of understanding with the television authorities yesterday afternoon.

Sunny Leon is a "Star" alright, but don't think she is a showbiz star. Not that kind of "Show" anyway.

She is proof that all you have to do to get famous is to get naked. Indian Kardashian, although with noticeable more talent at her craft.

and the stage will belong to Indian stars, BD stars will just perform when not many people will be around.
Another opportunity for middle/upper class Bangladeshis to waste their money.(many big names though)

btw, where is Sir Ananta ji ? he could have won us the game.

Do they have to schedule this in February? You will get a mixer of Bangla, Hindi, Urdu, and English songs and dance.
