What Should Be Practice Match Squad

All right guys, we've spent quite a lot time trying to figure out the 15 player squad for WI tour. Lets see now what should our squad be for the practice match (we can go on from there to 1st, 2nd, 3rd ODI and tests). Here is my thoughts. Since this is a practice match, i'd like to do some experiments here.

_1: Hannan Sarkar (Reason: see below)

_2: Manjarul Rana (Reason: This couple did a great job last time they played togather. I'm in favore of trying them again.

_3: Rajin Saleh (Reason: to me it seems like sumon does better coming at four. Rajin is the best choice for me).

_4: Habibul Bashar (Reason: see 3).

_5: Alok Kapali (Reason: To see if this guy was able to put himself togather, i'd like to put this as a big test for him)

_6: Faisal Hossain (Reason: He has done enough to get into at least one odi. But lets try him out in practice first).

_7: Khaled Masud (Reason:Has to be

_8: Mushfiq Babu (Reason: Again, has to be. Need allrounder, right? but should we switch position with pilot?).

_9: Rajjak Raj (Reason: To see if his action is right and how dashing he can be in higher level).

10: Taposh Boisha (Reason: Sabey dhon neel moni)

11: Tareq Aziz (reason: to company paposh).

I'm keeping ash, and rafique out because we know they will play in the ODIs. The question is which one is more important, practice for confirmed players like rafique and ash or trying out new founds like rajjak and faisal. i'd go with the second choice since players had some match practice in CCL.

I think Whatmore will select the eleven that will play in the first ODI.

Not only Whatmore, but Faruk will also have a strong voice on the selection. I read that the coach along with captain and Faruk will select the final eleven for each match.

I think Whatmore will play Ashraful and Rafique instead of Faisal and Rajjak, in order to prepare for the first ODI.

I think Faisal will play.

I think Chacha will play....... even though we don't want him to be in the squad.

I think Faisal is very much in the future plans, given Kapali's poor form. He'll probably be among the 11/12 who take the feild.

agent, I like your team for the practise match and your logic makes sense, although sujon might play ahead of mushfiq to see how he does. with limited practise matches (is it just one?) there will have to be a compromise between the goals of testing new players and getting the starting XI needed match practise.

(edited) just saw there are 2 practise matches. I would definitely go with the experimental squad in the first match and bring in the playing XI for the second match.

I doubt Dav will play both Alok and Dickens. I like Smith's team. Too bad Sujon will eat up a spot, once again. Despite lacking consistency, Alok played a few decent knocks recently. I think he deserves to play in the practice match.

Actually, there is only one practice match before the ODIs, at Kingstow, SVG. The second one is a 3-dayer before the start of the Test series. I think Chacha and Ash are match ready, I'd rather see these new guys play in practice. Also, after seeing all the good things Whatmore said about Faisal, I expect to see him taking the field in at least one of the ODIs.
