View Full Version : Mongolia keen to take English teachers from Bangladesh

Mongolia is eager to take the services of English teachers from Bangladesh for Mongolian colleges and universities as well as import tea direct from here.

The newly appointed Mongolian Ambassador Jantsan Gulgou said this while he was presenting his credentials to President Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban yesterday.

Welcoming the ambassador, President Iajuddin expressed his happiness at the existing bilateral relations with Mongolia.

The president stressed increasing the volume of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. He said both the countries could work for having a much closer and mutually beneficial economic and trade relations.

Mongolia can import garments, pharmaceuticals, tea and other essential items from Bangladesh, he said.

As regards cooperation in the educational sectors, the president mentioned that the university-level students of both the countries could choose their destination in Mongolia and Bangladesh.

"This will help foster a better cooperation between the peoples of the two countries," he told the envoy.

Iajuddin said that people of all faiths live in peace and harmony in Bangladesh.

He mentioned Bangladesh's peace efforts globally and regionally and its contribution to the UN peacekeeping missions. "Bangladesh believes in dialogue for resolving any dispute," he said.

The newly appointed ambassador referred with satisfaction to the existing relations between Mongolia and Bangladesh and hoped that the relations would be diversified in future.

Earlier on his arrival at Bangabhaban, he was given a guard of honour by the President's guard regiment. He took salute and inspected the guard.

Secretary to the President Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Foreign Secretary Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury and MSP Major General A NM Muniruzzaman were present.

There's nothing like the site of a high flying Mongolian circus acrobat howling out in familiar 7-11 accent as he nose dives to the ground..!!

Is it only me or everyone else's sole encounter with a Mongolian had been at the circus ?

I have seen one Mongolian circus exhibition 19 years ago in Dhaka.:)
