I was in New Orleans for the last few days to attend the American Society for Microbiology annual meeting 2017. Will leave for London tomorrow. Just wondering whether we have any active BC members in New Orleans.

My Dearest Dr. M dada, I probably saw this thread a little too late.
Are you still in NOLA?

I could at least tell you where to go and eat the superb food and listen to the best of best musek in NOLA! During my Tulane years back in the mid-90s I used to work at the Raw-Hide as a bar back and also worked at OZ and the Pub, Jean Laffite Blacksmith - all at the quarters Vieux Carre... Also worked at the R-Bar and the Saturn Bar in Marigny neighborhood and at Snake & Jake's uptown. These are all superb places...You would have really liked them.

Lucky Chang's have the best food...Café Rangoon on Esplanade, Koop's Place in the quarter as well. La Petit and La Provence are good.

Abby's in the quarter, Audubon hotel in the Garden District, Maple-Leaf Bar, Tippetina's Uptown are good.

Are you still there? Call me please, I will take a flight and come meet you even just a for an evening.

Lol, sometimes I am really confused if BK is just trolling or being serious. But yes, he is extremely well versed, well rounded...and well traveled. (Bk: in all seriousness how many states have you been to?)

Zoshaan, I went to Tulane in the mid to late 90s.

But all in seriousness...I have been to sweet home Alabama and saw Mississippi burn baby burn
and my wife is from the mountains of Appalachia, hehehe, if that tells you anything!

You once told me about some Native American hanging thingy... that was a pretty interesting convo that day on the phone. (We really need to get in touch again...Inbox for #).

And also, once you mentioned about cactus gardens somewhere here in California or Arizona I forgot. Pretty impressive knowledge man.

^^Gopal, that is a very beautiful drawing,
my wife who is a cultural anthropologist/archeologist of pre-Columbian Americas told me all about the Ogalala Sun Dance and the Mandan O-Kee-Paa rituals.

I have been going to LA, Bev Hills and Century City once every three weeks now, we have multiple projects going on there...things are really heating up. We have got to make as much money, build as many spaces, eat as much Crabs before that Tramp tramples everything, I mean Frankentrump the Tweeter monster! Once he starts messing things up big time, we are outta here, like the Terminator - Hasta La Vista Baiby!!

Do you have a car? I stay at the Hills or West Hollywood and taxi or walk.

You have my number, it's the same old one, I am sending it again.... I will call you next week once I am in LA. I only go there two nights at a time.

Yeah lost your number. I kinda do factory reset of my phone once a while... lol DON'T ASK!

So you come here...like right next door and don't say 'hi' man? What's wrong with you....LA is bit far from here and mom doesn't trust me with her car cuz I ....well "perek dhukar por chakkar"... But at any rate, do come to OC or Artesia (Little Dhaka during Iftar...biryani is my treat.. I AM SERIOUS)
