Look I have no problem with them sharing pictures but these guys are over the top and everyone posting selfies before departure. The tour didnot even start. Guys like Anamul and Jubair should be hellbent on performing but cricket is far away from their minds. Its all about selfies. No hope for these jokers.

Speaking of HP tour, I pulled this image from BD Cricket FB page. I'm curious about the following, if you guys can help me out:

http://i67.tinypic.com/29w8ynb.jpg

1) WHY IS TANVIR HAIDER IN THE HP TEAM??? On what basis?
2) Who are the two guys I've indicated with the red arrors? I can't recognize them and they look too old to be part of the HP team.
3) Why isn't the player all the way on the left wearing blue pants? I know its not a big deal, but didn't he get the same uniform as everyone else?
4) Since when does Liton Das have tattoos? Any other players in our team with tats?
5) Cant help but notice Pinak is not part of this team? What is the latest on him?

2. The guy at the back with spectacles is coach Mizanur Rahman Babul(he coached under-19 team). The guy at the front is another of the support stuff.

3. That's Mehedi Maruf. Not everyone is wearing the same trousers, just the shirts.

4. Apart from Liton, Wicket Keeper Dhiman Ghosh has got tattoos all over his right arm.

"Jare dekhte nahi, tar cholon baka." Hatred oozing out of the post.

1. It was a sarcastic post so not sure where you see "hatred oozing" from. Get your eyes checked.

2. Never said "LKD, Anamul, Rony..." were fast bowlers. I did mention net sessions, which is where "LKD,Anamul, Rony..." would have to impress.

3. Said comment is a reference to Haturi mentioning that he doesn't pay attention to domestic/BPL performance, and mentioning impressive net session when justifying Tanbir's inclusion in team for NZ tour. Said comment is meant in jest and to deflate Mufi's expectation that good performance is what it takes for nat'l team call up.

4. Walsh mentioned how impressed he was with certain fast bowlers b/c of the tremendous questions they asked him.

5.

Sarc 101 is due in BC.

Why connect selection with Walsh? Hate is not there? What was the reasoning then? I see no connection. What so ever.

Could have said about Haturi because Haturi actually sits in the selection committee. Walsh has nothing to do selection especially batsmen. Walsh is the bowling coach. Fast bowling coach. Anytime you use walsh it automatically implies fast bowling.

Bowlers do have net sessions as well. Double Fail.

Its not Sarc 101 that's due in BC, its teaching posters like you to not go picking fights over everything. Now go enjoy your 4th of July holiday.
By Rna Rakib - July 7, 20170

Some of us fans were bashing Sydney Sixers after winning the first practice T20 in a curtailed match. The next match Bangladesh lost against Sydney thunder comprehensively. Both were good teams. But this time the invitational team was mainly comprised of inexperienced players. It's understandable as there has been player strike in Australia.

The most important thing is Bangladesh need A tours. They can't just focus on the national team. Why not think of sending an A team to South Africa? Since Australia's A tour to South Africa has been canceled.

I thought the tour opener against NT was a warm up match, did not realize they are the sole opposition in this tour. Agree with others who said this is waste of money going all the way out there to play an amateur team.

^^ For those who can't read Bangla, this NT Invitational XI is made mostly of aspiring U/19 cricketers (ie those who trying to get into Aus U/19 team), in addition to few bench players from different state teams.

This tour would mean something if it were our U/19 team playing this NT team.

BCB is a government agency run by the Bangladeshi government. The taxpayers of BD deserve to know how and where they spend the millions that is generated in revenue. As a government entity, this information is supposed to be public and readily available for anyone to see.

I've emailed them and requested this info. I would encourage you all to do the same:

If anyone is curious, BCB has a consitution: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4jZkpCqt-tETjY2NTBXMU45YTA/view

And an anti-corruption code (which is a laugh, because it spells out everything a participant can/cannot do, but nothing about corruption and nepotism at the management level). https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4jZkpCqt-tEZ1VMMjczamZudHM/view

I have a question.

Currently CA and ACA is going through a battle. Had it not been the case, would the NT invitational XI be the same?

If yes, then we can't fault BCB for sending HP XI and not an Under 19 team.

Any overseas experience is a good experience for these boys, no matter who the oppositions are. Yes, it could be better but I can live with this.

And that Aus HP team which all Bd fans thought was crap at that time consisted of khawaja, shaun marsh, steve smith lmao.

Austin waugh is a good up and coming talent but at the same time he plays 2nd grade Sutherland and even my close friend who is 19 plays 1st grade for sutherland. One level below state.

So i guess we are playing underpar teams. But every experience these guys get is a learning experience nonetheless.

Finally found ONE news story. Focusing on the famous son. Apparently Liton, Shanto, Likhon, et al are just an Academy side.

this time with huge margin win:up:

By Rna Rakib - July 9, 20170

Haider, Liton lead HP to achieve yet another comfortable victory

Regardless of the opposition, these are noteworthy performances by the young ones. Although, the likes of LKD, Anamul, Abul, Rony, Jubair and Haidar have full caps but they are still young and very thin in international experience...certainly in foreign conditions. Winning habit is a good habit. It will stand them in good stead.

I am glad Jubair Hossain is brought back into the fold. We seriously need a decent leggie and he is more than decent. Hopefully, he has learnt his lesson and will be very professional about his fitness or work ethics. Looking forward to Rony as quality left armer and Abul and Saifuddin as future pace alrounders.

Pura Gothia cup. Beating up on a bunch of kids. But hey, we can only play the opposition given to us and it's Cricket Australia's job to decide if their U19 hopefuls should play against a team with 6 Test match players and 2 more ODI capped ones.

Hp team wins the 5th match by 141 runs

Batting first, the visiting team were restricted on 259 runs in 48.3 overs. In reply, NT Invitational XI failed to grab the chance to seal their first victory of the series and bowled out in the 31st over for 118. Batsmen failed to prove their worth despite Jarrod Freeman scored highest 29 runs for his side.
Abul Hasan Raju and Saifuddin were tremendous with the bowl. They removed six Territory’s batsmen with three each. Another pacer Abu Jayed Rahi picked up 2 crucial wickets.

Brief-scores:
High Performance XI: 259/10 in 48.3 overs
Anamul 53, Tasamul 46, Irfan 46, Imtiaz 39, Haider 35
Northern Territory XI: 118/10 in 31 overs

Litton has disappointed. Shanto and Anamul deserves opportunity to play instead of Soumya and Sabbir. Anamul opens and Shanto at 3

Nah I'd still pick Liton ahead of anamul for now, he excelled in the recent season definitely deserves another chance, anamul has done well to but liton has done better imo. The other spot would be more between anamul and shanto imo, both had similar stats in DPL, shanto is younger, less experienced, think he's scored more tons than anamul recently so his conversion rate is prob at least on par with anamul, but what I like about shanto is he's more specialised in that number 3 spot and BD have never really been able to have a proper number 3 groomed, always had make shift ones.

I'd still keep Sabbir and Soumya though. I'd be giving the young guys extra experience before the World Cup wherever possible, that means some seniors will have to sit out for some matches, not a big deal really. Teams do do this from time to time to give youngsters experience. Would prob try Soumya down the order and put Sabbir back down as well.

Ebdadat Hossain or AH Rony have to come into the national fold. AH Rony did nothing wrong in the t20 chances he got in the national squad. Just was let down by bad field placements.

I am saying this because we have to imagine a future without Mash. And you need his replacement.

Abu Hider Rony has done well with the ball, plus he can bat a bit too. He definitely deserves chances in the national team.

Abul Hasan is proving he can do well on such wickets. Yes it's against some bunchbof sunday league cricketers (which would mean a village cricket side, in BD). But still, Abuls action and pace he has will be good on wickets helpful for seamers. Some bowlers just suit some conditions!

Liton
Tamim
Shanto
Mushy
Shakib
Sabbir
Soumya

That's a top 7 I'd like to see tested in ODIs. Want to see how soumya does down the order with sabbir, liton deserves another chance but I'd like to see him opening and shanto might be the one we should groom for number 3. Still would have 3 experienced bats with tamim, mushy and shakib so not a bad balance imo. These guys need experience before WC, need to know whether they should be selected for World Cup or not and only way to know is to give them a decent amount of matches and see how they go. Riyad ready to come in at anytime and ultimately the youngsters would have to 'dethrone' him as such to get a WC spot.

"Afghanistan A replace Australia A in tri-series"

Literally everyone is getting A tours. Meanwhile, our venerable BCB gives us HP tour.

BCB bolod 1: Bhai, A-team tour planning korben ni?"
BCB bolod 2: "Dhur miah, A-team ki dorkar, amgo to HP ase, HP!"

^Afghanistan A team? It should have been Afghan national team against India A and SA A teams. Wish we could send our A team in that series. It has been proven to be a good tri-series for last few years. Can't we make a deal with couple of other boards to have an annual tri-series for A teams? How good it would have been for our players development.

Afghanistan are fully fledged members now, nothing wrong with them sending their A team in fact they need to do this sort of thing, their A team needs to be able to compete with other A teams.

Of course nothing wrong for them. Huge chance for them. But their A team is no match for India and SA's at the moment. Common sense and known fact. They just got test status. And who are they replacing? Australia. All I am saying is that had BD A managed to play in that series it would been beneficial for BD and the series would be more competitive. Nothing against the Afghans.

Would be beneficial for any A team, I'm very happy South African cricket is supporting Afghanistan cricket, helping them get off to a good start which is how new teams should be welcomed, ultimately it's in everybody's best interests for all teams to be strong.
