It's time to rediscover Test-match batting Mark Nicholas
"The duty of a batsman is to score runs. To do this he must stay at the crease. To do that he must preserve his wicket. The notion of being "positive" - a misleading buzzword for modern cricketers - is fine if applied as the opposite of negative but not so healthy if it is used to encourage reckless play. In the art of batting, the percentages matter. Being positive no more means pushing hard at straight balls pitched on a good length than it does an ill-conceived aerial assault."

Dear Modern cricketer and modern fans,
it would do a world of good if you can digest the above statement. Test match threads would be much better to follow. Thank you.

Have a great day T20- aerial assault, or improvised scoop shot day.

^^ Yes Dulabhai, apni jaa bolechen...Ekebarey sothik!

To me, seriously, T-20 is pure Garbage (not to be confused with the Wisconsin based punk band).

My Test cricket (white shirt/pajama/red ball/daytime/5days) and
T-20 (colored jersey candy wrapper/pom pom/stupido dj music etc.) comparison analogy:

T-20 Cricket: Mortal Kombat video game playing sitting on a dirty couch while munching on Lays and becoming motoo and huffing and puffing after defeating Sonya Blade

Test Cricket: Playing a quiet, silent, focused, serenity filled day long chess with an old Chinese man sitting on a bench in China Town (behind the court house) or with an old black man on St. Nicholas Ave. sidewalk in Harlem (by the Apollo theater).

Agree, there is a difference between positive cricket and aggressive/reckless cricket.
