Many of you might hate this genre but you can't deny some songs are very well written and composed that they can actually lift you up ...

Eminem just released a song.. not so fond of it but I started binge listening to his old songs and brought back memories of his songs getting me through many hours of intense studying...

I will add more songs time to time.. please share your classics/favorite:

Big Eminem fan here

yeah same here. I like high quality rap. he just has too many of them. this guy is up there. The guy is a lyrical God.

These days there are just too many wanna be rappers, piss poor lyrics with piss poor flow, music..

It's ironic that it's a white boy that get you pumped for rap. Amazing!

some of his songs are a decade old but still pumps me up.

not afraid, till i collapse, lose yourself .... these are good songs for anyone aspiring to be better. Not some piss poor lyrics about 100 dollar bills, gold chain and blonde girls.

he has a song with dido that I like a lot too..because I like dido haha.

Yea some people say, that rap is ****. Because nowadays you have to sift through **** to get to the good stuff.

But I have a saying, if your looking for **** you will find it.

Stan is actually a true story.

Eminem has his fair share of songs about debauchery and fornication, but if your looking for that stuff then you will find it. But if you want songs with universal meaning that appeals to all persons, than eminem is the best

Such a good song, is it recorded inAustralia(centre link, maccas)

The message is quite true,as we grow older out dreams get smaller. People come overseas to live better lives for just a few dollars more in cash.

Yes. The rapper used to be a member of a band called Deshi MCs back in Bangladesh. He now lives in Sydney.

^ Who knows dude, things are not as they seem. The whole left-right paradigm has moved so much to the left over the years, that center now is far right.

And then there is of course the silent majority who don't conform to anything and see through the paradigm. But I stick to my statement, don't you see how all rap has become this new age self-righteous crap? I do.

I like Anik Khan's shadows btw, this is not a shot at that. A friend linked it to me when it first came out. People always link me stuff as they know I live for hip hop.

I'm not making a deeply analytical post. Just stating that there is a reason that GED owning plumbers or coal miners think that Mohammad Anwar MD took Paul Robert's interventional radiology fellowship. Despite the fact that Mr Roberts dropped out of high school. Its called scapegoatism. Its easier to blame other people for your problems than yourself. He's not broke because Rajnish Patel took his $300,000 anesthesiology job away from him. He's broke because the market (which is a god according to the free market crowd) won't pay an electrician more than 20 bucks an hour. You don't need an advanced econ degree to understand that.

Immigrants are taking American jobs, thats absolutely true. But only because they are qualified for it. Indians own medicine, how many redneck high school drop outs can even pronounce choledocholithiasis let alone find the stone and take it out? Mexican migrants farm the land and work construction, how many of these uppity folks are willing to do that. Arabs drive drunk frat boys around in an Uber all night...again how many Tulsa OK's finest are willing to do the same.

As far as hip hop goes, Pac was an OG in the BLM crowd. Remember White Manz World or Changes or even They Don't Give a F*** About Us?

Then you have guys like Nas, NWA, Dre, Snoop, Bone Thugs, Mos Def, and others who are more likely to Stand With Her, than grab her by the you know what.

The paradigm hasn't shifted. Whats happened is that both sides have gone to the far extreme of their side and there is no one left in the middle. When you have guys like John McCain and Hillary Clinton or Joe Liebermann represent centrism you know that the right and left are both extremists. Its just that the left tells the truth about 65% of the time and the right lies 90% of the time.

Oh boy, you need to go deeper man. You have explained it too simply, making me seem anti-immigrant or something, lol. But one gem I will give you is, people change, and times change. TODAY, it is my firm belief Pac would have changed and come more to the right. So would leaders like Malcolm X. You know, come to think of it, Malcolm had already begun to change, shunning nation of Islam for orthodox Sunni. Dare I say, given more time, he would have shunned that too and embraced something else.

The wisest people do not stay the same man, they adopt with times. But spare your fingers, we can do a pod on this. Because I really want to know what about the right you find extreme and if you condone BLM or not. Will talk soon hopefully.

Cheers.

I think the BC podcast should only be about cricket, lol. Lets keep it simple.

Pac would forget his roots as a poor kid from Harlem and Oakland? I just can't see how that would be the case given that I haven't heard any of the rappers from his generation go that route. Nas, Diddy, Snoop, Dre, the Outlawz, Jay Z are all 2Pac era and apart from Kanye (who's from the next generation) I haven't heard of anyone who could be even close to right wing. Then you have Mos Def, Common, Talib Kweli, Wyclef, etc...

There's just no evidence to support that Pac would do a 180 on policies that affect families just like his own so negatively. Can't see Pac being against welfare or supporting tax relief for big business or suddenly becoming anti-Mexican or islamophobic.

As far as Malcolm X goes anything is possible. He might have become a Hare Krishna, true. But he was primarily concerned with the African American condition and the universality he saw at Hajj appealed to his sense of a system that could work to bring all races together. There is only one other universal religion, and he resented it for making African Americans so subservient to racism. And before the NOI, Malcolm was an atheist (from the chapter titled "Satan" in his autobiography).

No, but Pac would endorse self responsibility and not blame the "white man" for his troubles. He would have realized this. The fact that USA is genuinely one of the most non-racist countries on earth.

And yes, all those names you mentioned, hip hop has totally aligned itself with the left, this is very worrisome, because hip hop was always about being different, about being the underdog. Not it is just a mishmash of hollywood liberal elite mainstream crap and a media front for the democratic party.

You are supposed to define hip-hop, not the other way around. But it has become very much the in thing to do to take advantage of whatever woke-ness that is in the air, and rappers are competing against each other to be the biggest SJW. No originality.

The fact that USA is genuinely one of the most non-racist countries on earth.

This is true. But its a result of the liberal half of the population that is responsible for that. The fact that many conservatives have to go back to 1861 and cite Lincoln's Presidency to prove they aren't racist is perhaps the most cogent indictment.

And yes, all those names you mentioned, hip hop has totally aligned itself with the left, this is very worrisome, because hip hop was always about being different, about being the underdog. Hip hop started out in the urban centers of the Bronx with black and latino artists. If hip hop was more concerned with blaming everything on blacks, Mexicans, Muslims, and trannies...that would be a lack of originality because it would biting the prejudice that has plagued humanity for the last 200,000 years.
