Game starts in about 8 hours. But, I want to know few answers if anyone knows. Will there be any live coverage of any kind? CricInfo is not likely to cover. Any radio coverage, abhs?

anyway, it looks like alok has some real influence in whatmore. He decide to give him one more chance. He will be in this practice match, by bangladesherkhela. rafique will be rested. so, this is how the squad will most possibly look:

01. Hannan Sarkar
02. Javed Omar
03. Habibul Bashar
04. Rajin Saleh
05. Mohammad Asharaful
06. Alok Kapali
07. Faisal Hossain
08. Khaled Masud
09. Manjarul Rana
10. Alamgir Kabir
11. Taposh Baisah

Mushfiq may replace faisal or alamgir. There could be any other changes, this is just my guess.

calling for scorecard in a 3 day match is almost threatening since the phonebill will go sky high, still just wondering what oracle/carte blanche is thinking.

We have confirmed from Bangladesh team manager (thanks to Oracle) that there will NOT be any live coverage of any sorts (cricinfo, radio).

BanglaCricket might provide score updates from time to time during the progress of the match.

Enforced last minute changes has strengthened the WICB XI and now the number of Test caps is increased to eight.

WICB XI (from): Sylvester Joseph (captain), Omari Banks, Carlton Baugh Jr., Dwayne Bravo, Corey Collymore, Wavell Hinds, Jermaine Lawson, Dave Mohammed, Ravi Rampaul, Devon Smith, Dwayne Smith, Kurt Wilkinson.

Source: WICB (http://www.windiescricket.com/Article.asp?id=204592)

------
Some irregular live updates of the score should be available from WICB Homepage (http://www.windiescricket.com/)

The information provided in the early post is accurate and there will be no live update from Cricinfo. Even then, I would continue my search to see that we can have some good news.

For practice matches, some are being rested.
Rafiq, Babu, Rana and Bashar might not play . Ar least this was what i gathered from the team in my last conversation

abhs

Sun is shining now and clearing up nicely but the outfield is still wet as a result of overnight rain and rain throughout the week. Umpires will inspect again at lunchtime.

Source:Caribbean Cricket (http://caribbeancricket.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=25343).

Just Watched Channel I news. The weather report is confirmed. There is no chance that the play will start before lunch, according to Channel I, before 11:40 PM Bangladesh time.

Habibul Bashar will also be rested in this match.

I've been trying for the last one hour to get hold of any contact information of the ground where the game is being held. Even the GCA secretary couldn't help me. Jeez, where are they playing this game? Some village ground? Closest info I got is the hotel contacts where the BD players are staying. I'll keep trying.

It'd have been easier if Oracle was here.

Well, he has not done anything here yet to get banned. They can laugh all they want in the rum shop. That is none of our concern.

This forum is no rum shop. If they want to come here to create trouble, we will take care of them.

I simply ignore him. He is here just to poke a fight. As you can see, ignoring him makes him go nucking futs. Technically he has the right to defend his "ahahhaha" annoying technique, but it's more than obvious what his intentions are.

It's very refreshing to see that most of the WI fans are sensible, even on that board. WI2debone is a regular poster here at our board, and he makes perfect sense too. I guess we can simply ignore that bad apple mattyfan. By the way, is he an aussie or a West Indian?

That doesn't sound good. You can try using RealPlayer. It can open Windows Media 9 audio.

Missed the event last night for delayed start.

What is the score after day 1 actually?

BBC Bangla reported it to be 81/2 (or 82/2? I am confused, but definitely not 84/2) with Hynds and Smith out.

I got the similar information from the caribbean cricket (http://caribbeancricket.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=25383) (82/2) andwindiescricketfever forum (http://windiescricketfever.mywowbb.com/forum1/19.html) (81/2).

Please note that there will be an early start today (Grenada time 9:30 AM instead of 10:00 AM).

Bangladeshis start brightly

West Indies Cricket Board XI 82 for 2 (Joseph 42*, Bravo 23*) v Bangladeshis Scorecard

With the start of the Test series only days away, the Bangladeshis once again displayed the competitive streak that had taken them close to success during the one-day series. Though more than half of the first day's play against a West Indies Cricket Board XI was washed out, Bangladesh bowled with discipline and purpose to restrict them to 82 for 2 from 40 overs.

Tapash Baisya broke through for his team first thing in the morning. He bowled Wavell Hinds before the WICB XI had put a run on the board. Not long after, Tareq Aziz dismissed Darren Smith for 11 (25 for 2). But there were no further rewards for the bowlers. Though they kept things very tight, the batsmen hung on. Sylvester Joseph, captaining the side, led the recovery, finishing the day 42 not out. Dwayne Bravo was keeping him company on 23.

While a result is unlikely over the next two days, the Bangladeshis will be hoping to give their morale a further boost ahead of the two-Test series.

Zephaniah
May 23, 2004, 09:58 AM
Both Bravo and Joseph were dropped in single digit score. Both were regulation catches. If our players keep doing it then they will be in serious trouble in test matches. Dropping catches not only demoralises bowlers but also do unjustice to their bowling figures. Yesterday Alamgir kabir bowled beautifully moving the ball laterally both ways with excellent line & length. And see what happend today - he's all at sea! His line and length is in complete disarray. Concentrate boys, you don't have the luxury to drop REGULATION catches!

let's giv them time to figure it out..
its true that these youngies are inexperienced and doesnt know wht to do in longer innings.. both in bowling and batting... i guess this is a good practice for them considering their future!(even for the next two matches)
lets hope our batsmen stay longer in when they bat also... specially the young ones!
