England 2-1 up.

4th ODI going now. Didn’t knoe it’s shown on sky 121 SkySportsMix. I got this channel :)

England. Again showing they go away from home and beat any sides. Beastly ODI side. Bring on 2019 WC, it’s there to stay in England!

Everyone forget about England.

I thought that they're still playing the Ashes

I haven’t forgot. I followed scores on CI.

I must admit my love and liking for England ODI/LOI has/is growing more as time passes. Since 2015 WC K.O by Bangladesh. England have played some brilliant, attacking, fearless and entertaining cricket. Just what I like. Soon England will be my fav number one side. BD whole setup it just feels shambles atm.

Lol, Ashes. We can see how garbage England is when they play against Australia.

New Zealand have some nice located grounds, in scenic areas, mountain backdrops. Whereas Bcb with ultra obsession loved to host every match of BD’s in the glorious ground at Mirpur, in middle of a concrete jungle, highly densely populated area. I’m sure, if anyone had any sense, good foresight, they’d eagerly hurried to get a stadium in Coxs bazar done to get international cricket played at in a nice surrounding/location. Then again it’s bcb and their planning for the growth of BD cricket, is poor. Can’t accept much from such board

150 up for England...only the 25th over, and 9 wickets still in hand.

Shaping up for a 350-total

Bairstow on 95. Brilliant innings so far. Hope he gets the ton.

He is like this good squad player who you can bring in when someone is injured in footballing terms but does more than better than just a squad player and does a brilliant job whenever his chances.

I like these small grounds more than stadiums. More cricket should be played on such grounds

Ideal for T20s. Most big grounds you see out there, during a t20 match the ropes are brought inside by 10yards or more.

Two back to back 16run overs.

England looking dangerous AF. Could well get past 400. Big hitters to come. Two set batsmen going great.

Absolute massive shot. Bairstow with big sixes!

Looked gigantic!

Bairstow out for 138 off 106 balls. Top quality knock. Had to go swinging it every ball as many big hitters left and overs not much. Deserved a 150. But brilliant stuff.

He could have scored a double if he had played a bit more sensibly

Two quick wickets for NZ. Butler and Morgan. Still plenty left.

Mas_UK25
March 6, 2018, 08:05 PM
England big hitters came in trying to go from word go. Lost wickets softly and just rushing things. Now the Bairstow innings looks even better!

Doesn’t matter how good the wicket is you have to take a few balls to get used to the wicket.

England collapsed some daft cricket from the big guns. Tried to go hard up in the air, rushed too much.

4 bounderies in a row in the last over by Curran and a total of17 off the last over, takes England to 335-9. Should’ve easily got 360-370, even with the loss of Butler and Morgan quickly.

Ross Taylor with a mammoth score so far. 158* so far

aklemalp
March 7, 2018, 12:46 AM
This is really some clean hitting from Taylor

aklemalp
March 7, 2018, 12:47 AM
He's on 167* now, just past Baz's 166

aklemalp
March 7, 2018, 12:49 AM
And a boundary takes him to 171*

Past Ronchi's highest, and tied with Glen Turner

17 required off 18 balls

Taylor has gone past Lou Vincent...on 173*

aklemalp
March 7, 2018, 12:55 AM
As of now, he is the 4th highest on the list

The first 3 are dominated by Guptill: 237*, 189*, 180*

aklemalp
March 7, 2018, 12:56 AM
A six takes him to 179*

aklemalp
March 7, 2018, 12:57 AM
On to 180* now, and he is tied with Guptill's

And looks like he is getting cramps on his right forearms

aklemalp
March 7, 2018, 12:57 AM
5 required off 9 balls

aklemalp
March 7, 2018, 01:02 AM

March 7, 2018, 01:04 AM
And it's over

NZ have chased down 336; mainly due to Ross Taylor's unbeaten 181*. Epic

Ross Taylor is criminally underrated. He has easily been one of the top 3 ODI batsmen for awhile now. :applause::applause:

What a game in the end.

Didn’t see ending but looking at highlights.

England were trying to blast it away after Bairstow tried to go all ball bug hits since there was lot more hitters to come. Just goes to show, when a batsmen is set and playing well, let him carry on doing whats working. Doesn’t matter if big hitters to come or not. They may not click. In this game case, England collapsed playing some rash, stupid stuff started by Butler.

ODI.

Talking about LOI/ODI. Read the post again.

Didn’t England smash Aus in the ODI series?

Odd series wins happen here and there. Didn't see you in the Ashes thread, what happened there mate?

Did you perform a disappearing act like the English batsmen.

Don't worry i am just messing with you.

 :floor:

My earlier initial post, was all regarding LOI cricket. Hence, the meaning when I said WC is there to stay in 2019, refers to ODI cricket not test. Clearly I wasn’t talking about test.

But if you wanna talk about ashes. Say, last 8 Ashe. England have won 5, Aus 3. Or count from post 2010, in this decade England won 3 Aus 2, so far. Still have the upper hand in Ashes series too.

You said odi series win happens here and there. Really?
England have won 21 of their last 25 or 26 ODI’s, England beat BD in BD when the mighty Pak, Ind and SA couldn’t in 2015, ended BD golden home odi serieses of winning run. And Wining 4-1 in Australia against the mighty aussies who are ODI kings as they won 3 wc in a row and are current world champions, is no easy feat. How many teams beaten Aus in their own backyard in ODI so easily like that since 2015 wc or even since 2007 wc.

Fact is England will rule Aus in Odi, anywhere in the world, for next 4/5 years :D
