Jamaica pitch is going to be more pacy than the one in the first test. The Antigua pitch in the first test is actually known for being a batsmen paradise. Jamaica is known for lots of head and body injuries to batsmen facing pace bowling. Good luck BD.

That would be great actually, but Bangladesh probably will rebound in this match and put in a better performance which might prolong the match for more than 2 or 3 days. I know for certain that alot of the WI players will be very distracted by the World Cup final going on and Bangladesh can take advantage of that as WI performance in the field might be a bit inconsistent.

Abu Hider Rony isn't a Test player. Yasin Arafat might be more fit for the job as he can extract some unexpected bounce.

West indies all the way! I don't want to see or think about these Odhoms for a long time. What a waste of time. Only pleasure out these matches of BD touring West Indies is the amazing West Indies fast bowling! Clean, viscous and perfect! What beauties!

Now disrespect to West Indies team and any Caribbeans - Just between me, aklemalp and the rest of the BD folks - I wouldn't be surprised if the BD Gadha Bolod team gets a follow on and gets beaten by an innings and some change by the current BD national women's team!

2d test preview finally here:

There's likely to be less grass than Antigua. Nonetheless, Bangladesh can expect a similarly paced pitch especially since the home side's pace attack had been so successful in the first game. There's a forecast of a light shower in Kingston early on the first day, but it's clear skies for the rest of the game.

Better for batting. More friendly to the batsmen than Antigua was. Fair enough.

After a poor batting performance, the Bangladesh management usually picks an extra batsman in the following game for damage control. If that's what happens in Jamaica, either Imrul Kayes or Nazmul Hossain Shanto would be the eighth batsman.

Looking to draw the test? Or win it? 8 batsmen.

Alzarri Joseph is likely to replace Kemar Roach ahead of Keemo Paul. Shimron Hetmyer may also have to wait for his chance, with West Indies likely to stick to the combination that inflicted an innings defeat on the visitors.

This hurts me each and every test that this young man is warming the benches. Play Shimron. Unleash him!!!

Goat Curry, Chicken Curry etc.. is the proper name of the dish but when we say Curry Chicken we're really describing the state of the dish and are really supposed to say Curried Chicken.

Nice. Usually in Dhaka the sauce is given separate and it is traditionally cut into a small grid of bite size pieces.

The kebabs from those circular rotisserie are packed with an immense amount of salt which is why you feel thirsty. But the more expensive places who cook their own meat usually are less saltier.

I would say Shakib too is at fault a bit. When WI were suffering, he didn't set an extra-offensive field but rather one to stop runs. Brathwaite was at unease at first and our spinners were troubling him then thanks to the spin aided by the wicket. Had we taken a couple more wickets early, we would have ended the day in a much better situation.

That fish looks exactly like a fish from TT called Cascadura.

I was thinking of how to dismantle that one. I guess if I am not mistake one has to use their hands. But I agree with mufi_02 that to me it doesnt look appetising either (sorry if it was home cooked).

I have many fish curries and I dont know if I am biased but Bangladeshi fish taste amazing. We have so much variety that one is spoilt for choice.

Once my boss who is a curry and fish lover asked me why doesnt his local restaurant not have much fish dishes. Not sure of what to reply but my answer was because they dont want to get sued due to bones :D. Bangladeshis are adept with using their hands and removing the smallest of bones.

Very bias indeed. The entire world knows that the Caribbean has the best fish dishes around. You have got to be crazy to say otherwise. E-)

As Night_wolf said, there is a saying rice and fish makes a Bangladeshi and for good reason. You guys might have amazing sea fishes, but Bangladeshi river fishes are sought after and so much variety.

We have a national fish called Hilsha (Illish) which is extremly sought after by the Kolkata people that they pay a handsome price for it. The taste of a Bangladeshi fish curry is extremely complex. Like I said, it is hidden from foreigners :D

Yes we also hide our fish dishes recipes from foreigners as well, its alot more complex than what you get in those restaurants, you need to be part of the culture in some caribbean islands to even know the recipes to some of these fish dishes and doesn't even mean you can make if you do indeed know. Also its about the water the fish is bred in gives it that extra flavour as well, I'm sure you've heard about Flying Fish but you've never tasted a flying fish dish made from a local not at a restaurant. We ship these fishes out in mass quantity to the rest of the world, they just simply cannot get enough of our fish. Soon our waters might be empty.

Then there's Casacudara curry with the pic of the fish shown above which is an amazing delicacy on its own, there's also shark curry, carite, king fish, red fish which if you've eaten you won't want to go back to your home country ever again, you'd want to live here and continue eating our fish dishes.

In the UK the only fish dishes that are popularly eaten are cod/haddock/ scampi/salmon and sea bass in restaurants mainly due to the bone factor and as sourcing it in London isnt as easy as sourcing fresh meat. I only eat fish in restaurants if there is no halal meat.

Well the Caribbean is almost anyones dream place to live, I wont argue with that, but if you have a Bangladeshi fish curry you wont want any other type.

I kid you not, this is one of the most sought after fishes in the region. Eating it is simple, as Dman said, you use your hands and slide the external skeleton down in one smooth motion. The meat is tasty, almost the same texture as tuna. I once had a fish dish in a BD restaurant in Jackson Heights.

Hands. Don't even think of a spoon. Once you have the acquired taste, the look doesn't matter anymore (think Shrimp, Crab, squid)

It's called a Hassa (Not Shakib  ). Pre-historic from the Amazon, been a delicacy for centuries...local tribes.
