Geoffrey Boycott would say something like: "now he needs to buckle down and start work on the second hundred". And Geoffrey Boycott would be right.

CONGRATS to Sumon! Excellent inning!

Sumon currently 111 not out. Only Aminul (145), Javed (119) and Ashraful (114) have scored more in tests.

Bashar needs to work on his concentration to take his scores to the next level. But one thing at a time I guess.

sorry, for posting some photographs other than Bashar in this thread.

Wanted to delete and post to other thread, but can't see "delete" option, any change in the policy? Or something wrong with my PC?

We've decided to remove the delete option - often an inadvertent delete at the top of thread causes an often important thread to disappear. You can edit your post to remove a post you might want to remove and then U2U one of the moderators who can delete it in it's entirety. As for non Habibul Bashar pix - I'm sure no one is going to complain. :)

Take a look at that Hannan Sarkar dismissal - the ball looks awfully high on the pads. That was a dubious lbw.

i remember a world cup football match (forgot who vs who) where the refary gave a palenty to one team, and then realized that that was a wrong decision. so what he does, next time he gave a similar planty to the other team to even thing out. same goes here, i guess. if hannan was not out like that, ash would not be in the crease now. that was a quite clear out what umpire didn't even call for 3rd umpire.

Here's what BBC had to say about it (I had missed seeing this incident - had to do some work after all)

Ashraful was lucky to still be at the crease at the close after earlier appearing to be run out after a misunderstanding with Rajin Saleh.

Collins' throw hit the wicket but umpire Daryl Harper refused to call on the services of a third umpire.

TV images showed that Ashraful had not grounded his bat or his foot and, alerted to this, Windies skipper Brian Lara then appealed to the umpire.

This time Harper did call on assistance but the third umpire declined to dismiss the Bangladesh batsman - rules do not permit a player to request a consultation after an umpire has already made a decision.

I wouldnt be too sure. The picture may have been taken after the ball hit the pad and ballooned up.

He was plumb, bat was no where near the ball. And the ball hit him in the shin, under knee level.

There was no doubt among any of the four commentators yesterday.

Better luck for hannan on 2nd Inn!
