We still got some hrs. to go. Its 5:42 PDT. I'm staying home today...
Lets hope and pray that BD doen't make it an anti-climactic one.
More than anything we need to be consistent in our success.

I'm pretty sure the team had some sort of conf. call w/ DW despite his situation back home.
I really hope no one in the BD team tries to be the hero. Rather, play their natural game, stick to the basics..
Do not make any stupid shots. Survive and prosper on the crease against the 'lethal' bounce.

Hopefully Ash will have an ON day. We cant afford to have greasy fingers.

Lets contribute to Lara's pension plan.

If Bashar wins the toss - What should he take? Batting or Fielding?

I would have taken Batting with full confidence.

I bet if Lara wins he will take Fielding which is actually good for us. He is underestimating BD too much.

One thing BD desperately needs though is a solid opening partnetship.

1. Play smart.
2. Don't Fish
3. Be patient (you got 5 days to bat)

Bangladesh has won the toss and

Weather looks good, Windy with a mix of clouds and sun. High around
90F. Winds E at 20 to 30 mph is the forecast for the rest of the

Yup, I love it. I love to see teams play with heart and confidence. Let's see if Lara's words will have any effect on the WI team. @ least should see a good innings from Lara. (I don't know if I should have said 'we' there).

I thought Bashar would want our pacers to take advantage of the wicket on the first day/morning?? It may slow down later - although that blunts the WI attack if we can survive.

Hannan needs specialist help. I need help for thinking about it but ultimately not dropping him from my fantasy team this morning.

8.6 Collins to Habibul Bashar, OUT: short and Habibul goes for a pull off a full ball and skies it to gully and Banks holds it well

first cricinfo wasn't working for me, when it did I really thought it was giving me the last match re-run. couldn't believe my eyes. how's that possible for the same guy to get out back to back first inning first ball duck, 3 in a row no shot offered and got out, that's gotta be some kinda record.

the positive from the negative is that hope fully Bahsar will score another century since he's in the 3rd place (http://usa.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/CRICKET_NEWS/2004/JUN/159724_COL-STATS_02JUN2004.html) of all time batting list to play better when he's under pressure.

My crystal ball had earlier said BD 147 in the first innings if batting first. It insists on that score even now that we have come to about 50 and best batsmen (tapash, tariq, et al) yet to come - so I have to disagree and think we will bat all day and get to about 243.

Yeah, And the reason probably is that our players are young and not enough experienced. But right now few of our players is showing consistency in their batting and you can atleast hope they will reach a double figure. An example wud be Rajin saleh, this guy is solid.

Number of Draw = 13
Average 1st Innings Run = 33.99
Average 2nd Innings Run = 37.0

I am not watching live so can't tell who is doing what but this is my understanding -

Hanna's out - no comment (He thought he left his bat at the dressing room)

Bashar's out - Playing that pull shot that early of the innings was very bad judgement. He simply gave the wkt away.

Omar's out - I would say the credit goes to the bowler. It was a good ball and forced Omar to make the mistake.

Rajin and Ash looking composed so far. I am not worried about Rajin - he usually play safe but I hope Ash will keep his wild horse in check today.

I am very much thinking of some scores like 180!! again. Can't rely on the middle order. Hope the lower orders will stand tall again.

I'm not looking at the score, all I want BD batsmen to do isto bat till lunch tomorrow.
runs will come if they stay there.

Anything over 200 will be a blessing, this wicket is too fast and furious for the lower order. I dont see any century coming in the 1st innings...
