Opening pair

New 14 player squad in asia cup makes it clear that we'll have a new combination of openers. Suggested by, whatmore, ash will open with javed omar. I've no problem seeing javed opening in odi, but i personally think ash is a bad choice. He is not mature enough yet, and this extra pressure probably will shatter his new found confidence. what you think? which pair would you choose for the odis?

looking at the poll's result so far, i can imagine what whatmore has to go thru to pick up too. we've so many, and everyone has some fans!

our openers always remaind me of cold medicines.

Personally..I don’t really have any problems with Javed and Ash…Ideally, I would have liked Biddut and Javed…but since he is injured….We’ll just have to stick with Ash I guess…I have always been a great admirer of Javed…Rarely does he throw his wicket away…’n I just feel Ashraful will fancy playing his shots in the fist 15 overs…’n with Javed holding one end up….I’m sure he’ll be given the green signal to go for his shots…But once Biddut recovers from his injury..it should be Biddut and Javed…n’ that should be the end of the experiments…

They are scheduled to play 4 practice matches in SL before the start of Asia Cup.
