Lost the toss and sent in by Hampshire Academy squad. In trouble at 3 for 11 after 4 overs.

Partnership of 103 between Nafees Iqbal and Dhiman Ghosh before Dhiman was dismissed for 54.

Nafees and Rubiayat Huq then added 49 for the 7th wicket before Talha and Ashim Chowdhury added 23 for the 10th. Talha made 25, Rubaiyat 20.

We were bowled out in 43 overs for 219. There was some early movement in the wicket and the batsmen did not adjust to the conditions and subsequently played some shots they should not have.

Began well to have Hampshire 42 for 5 from 13 overs before good partnership of 100 through some good batting and luck hitting.

Eventually bowled Hampshire out for 218 in the 47th over. Talha 5 for 36 and Rajib 4 for 31 bowled well. Rubiayat Huq also bowled well and was a little unlucky.

Whatever I know of is there. Wish I knew more. From the report, we can conclude that Nafees scored 50+.

Kool Kool!!!!

well done cubs!

good work from the quickies - they look to be in good shape..

and also some good work from nafees...btw how much did he score?

neways...219 off 43 ovs...had they been there till the end, the score could've been over 270!

good to see nafees getting runs before the champions trophy under english conditions, and also in one dayers for that matter.

Nice...Close wins are a very good thing. That'll prepare our players to handle pressure and tight situations!

Good job cubs!:fanflag:

It is nice to see that BD U19 won by 1 run. A good competition.

Well done! Nerves of STEEL! This bunch seem mentally much tougher than the senior bunch, and never gives up! This seems to be one of the strong points. The weak point is our opening. We don't seem to be able to start off an innings solidly on a consistent basis. Like the coach said, our top order batsmen need to play according to the conditions. What a fantastic development experience this is turning out to be for our young boys. It will serve them for the rest of their careers. I say, a tour of England should be made an annual event on the U19 calender.

Because of McInne's Ice therapy. I say, put the seniors on Ice therapy (recommanded prescription, 6 hrs a day until they develop nerves of steel) :D

i say send them to england every year, AND to australia and south africa on a regular basis. this will make them well equipped to face any opponent in any conditions, and they will turn out to be a bright prospect for the future national team.

Nafees made 92, sorry left that out. Batted very well.

The Hampshire side contained a mixture of their 2nd XI players and the academy squad who are primarily under 19 players.

It was a close game and Hamshire should have won it, but the guys displayed good resolve to stick to our plans and they came through in the end with out panicking. We have had a few close games like this and they are learning to win the close ones which is a good quality. Even though we did not play to our best, we had what you might call and "ugly win". Talha bowled well but still needs to be managed carefully. Rajib is also starting to find his feet over and here and really set the game up for us, claiming the first three and then a critical wicket to break the partnership in his second spell.

ODI tomorrow so fingers crossed all goes accoridng to plan. it has been a long tour and it would be great to finish it playing quality cricket, and reaching our goals.
