I've just read that khaled mahmud has been chosen as captain and will be appointed so, if habibul bashar fails to make it to England due to his thumb injury. Habibul's report is going to arrive tomorro night. The source of this information hasn't been revealed by bangladesherkhela.com but probably its ALi ajgor lobi. It's not sure if mahmud will even accept this offer (interesting).

don't take it personally but what is this: "http://www.bangladesherkhela.com/" Is that a credible source of information? Should not we look at sources from Daily Star, The Independent, observer, etc?

Just a thought i had in my mind.

If its true then it is not a big surprise. Chacha has lot of experience in England conditions and can lead well.

If its a false news then its just another rumour in their bucket. Bangladesherkhela has spread numerous rumours before. I won't believe their "gujob" type news unless a real newpaper reports.

I am curious what is with this special experience that Chacha has in English conditions. It comprises a few World Cup matches a few years ago - what else? The other thing is that he swings the ball occasionally so everyone thinks that is what he will do. Although he will be more experienced, period, than Rajin, this also means he is guaranteed a spot. Mushfiq would be the more effective all rounder, and we would have been better off picking 2 specialist pacers for the playing XI. Anyway, this is all hearsay for now so let's see.

rafiq bhai chacha has one man of the match in England. Thats his golden experience. ;)

I guess he would be more confident captain than any young ones leading at this point.

I think he'll do a good job...He has shown before that he is a good leader...Anyone who closely observed his captaincy in the last Pakistan tour would know that hez one of the better captains we have had..

We need performer than a leader first.

Get 250+ runs and then get 5 bolwlers to bowl 10 overs each. Never mind where the fielders are and how many overs they take to win for god's sake.

We'd need an "expert" leader only when we can consistently post some decent runs to defend upon.

I don't think our selector will pick him again as captain.
Just a narrow possibility of so called experience though, Lets wait and see.

As a captain, Mahmud is a better choice for us than Rajin. Mashud can do as well.

i wudnt really object if he DOES go to england as captain..i want to see what he can really do in england wit his experience(?). And besides, i do think he's a beter captain than rajin but i wud have liked mashud beter. anyways, nothing has been confirmed so all we can do is sit n wait..gud luck!:fanflag:

Inqilab reports Pilot is the pick. According to them, Loby has given the duty to pick the temporary captain to CEO Dudia. Pilot met Dudia yesterday in BCB office.

I will be in shock to see Pilot back in top after his questionable acts in the WC.

I do hope its not Pilot.

I am getting old and have forgotten the details of Pilot's WC antics. Anyone have details as to what he did wrong?

Mahmud has had his chance in dictatorship so its time to hand it over to someone who has been in the shadows but also with some level of experience....Mahmud is a better player with the pressure (captaincy) off his shoulders, whereas Rajin is a good player with applied pressure..so he would be more suited to take on the captaincy role.

the state of our players eh..win one match to get test status and they think they have done enough...man they are living thier life in luxury man..while there are true players out there not being given a chance to shine on the platform as our board members are not good enough to spot some good raw talent...
