ekhane kintu ekta shikkhar bepar aache - for BCB and it's selectors. Pilot ke dekhe ekta jinish amar goto dui tin bochor dhorei mone hochche. How come he always manages to save us from complete annihilation ? How does he do it with only the tail by his side? Simple (and it's just my assumption), it's his experience. Apart from Sumon, Pilot is the only other player who has played pretty much every single match (maybe missed a couple here and there) for Bangladesh for the last 6-8 years. He has been the only constant in our ever changing team. As a result, he IS the most experienced player in the team and he does deliver time and again.

This gives me hope for the likes of Rajin and Ashraful. If we stick with them (and it's not going to be easy with the way they keep on dissapointing everybody) and they are the best of the local talents, give them 3 more years and they may actually be able to improve their averages from the measly 15/20 to around 30-40.

my take on our top orders continuous failure is that all our batsmen are basically middle order players who are more comfortable playing when the ball is not swinging as much. but when they have to bat in the first ten overs, facing the fast bowlers with the ball swinging, they just dont have the technique to cope with it...thats why we need to find a pair of regular opening batsmen instead of playing a different batsmen in the opening slot every match
