don't know about shafiuddin babu and don't really care, but the original link had a good article on negative effect on club cricket now that best players are under contract directly with the national team. however they mentioned the u-19 team will play in the dhaka league as a unit, and that is positive. how does india, australia etc do it - when you are under contract with the national team, do you no longer play for a first class side ?

The under-19 idea is great and it will have some up and coming promising players.

National players will come back from the World Cup and should be able to play in the League matches. Unless the BCB decides that they need rest. I don't think there is a clause that bars these players from playing either first class or no class cricket.

Prothom alo had an article where it came out saying that it wasn't Mohsin Kamal who found Kapali, it was ALi Zia and Ali Zia named 3/4 other players in the article who are going to dazzle in the near future. Also, it had another item that said that BCB, in it's supreme stupidity has decided to send the team out wihtout Zia (the batting coach) to the World CUp - DUH.
