how bad is it ? i hope it's just something minor and he'll be able to walk it off.

Tapash finished Masri's over.

I think the injury is not grave. Hopefully he'll be able to bat later in the innings. Looks like he might need rest for a week or two before bowling again.

Which leaves us no choice but to field one of the younger/inexperienced bowlers against this improving Zimbabwe side. Also, if he can't bat in the second innings, it'll leave us in bigger trouble than we are right now.

he will be able to bat with a runner

Definitely bad news if the injury is serious. But since he came out to field i dont think its that bad. Anyway i think he should be rested at least for the first 2 or 3 one dayers. Talha will be a good replacement, as he's our only other agressive bowler.

Bashar needs to handle very gently. I know he's always asking Mash before he bowls whether he can continue but as a bowler like Mash he will always want to bowl. He bowled 43 overs in 2 innings. In this flat pitch it takes a lot of hard work from the bowler. Anway, its a slight hamstring from what i saw in the tv. Shudnt be a problem for him to bat.

Rafique due to injury and Enamul Jr. are not in the ODI squad. Mashrafee will be ok for the ODIs.

"Rafique is still struggling but the news for Mashrafee is a little better. Our team physio told us that he will recover soon. But one thing is for sure both will able to bat if required," he informed.

I think everyone who watched the fielding of Bangladesh in this recent test series saw it. What I am trying to say is that Bashar had put Mashrafe in field position like First Slip, Cover, and even Gully. Its sick. He is tallest guy and our main fast bowler. He should only and only bend his back while bowling not by bending in First Slip. Thats why I think he might get injured again if he continues to field in those position. What do u guys think?

Well, being the strongest arm in the side, he should definitely field in the deep. What effect this will have on his chances of getting injured over and over again - I don't know.

Captain's call. If it is dangerous for him, I'm sure the physio or coach will mention it to Bashar.

Nice observation. You could be right? A cricket physio probably is aware of things like this.

yeah...especially it really takes a toll to field in the slips. i think bashar had masri in those positions because he's one of our best fielder.

speaking of which....this guys is like everything. he's arguably the greatest pacer we've had so far, perhaps the most hard hitting batsman in the side right now (yes, more than rafiq), and one of our best fielders. man!

bowlers shouldn't field in the slip because they could hurt their fingers ruin their careers.

Well Botham did it for ages, as does Flintoff. Pollock does so too. I don't think being a bowler precludes you from fielding in the slips. Masree is one of our best athlete - as long as he doesn't have slipped disc or something, nothing wrong with being a "slipper".
