First test between U-19 teams of India and England is being played at Bangalore from 21 to 24 January.
The latest score is India 334 and 9/0, England 112
In the first innings of England, Abid Nabi claimed 5/26 to trigger a dramatic collapse for England in their first innings. Abid Nabi is reputed to bowl at speed of 140+ kmph. He is the first player from Jammu and Kashmir to play for an Indian team. He is a bright prospect to watch out for in future.

Great job from U-19 India against England.
Like to see them in senior team soon and playing against us.
Indian U-19 team looks better than our U-19 though, but looking forward to see them face to face someday.

India U-19 defeated Eng U-19 by 293 runs on the third day of the 4 day match.

India U-19 and Eng U-19 contained many players who played in the U-19 World Cup in Bangladesh last year.
Following are some interesting facts about the two teams:
England team contains Ben Harmison ( younger brother of Steve Harmison) and Moeen Ali ( younger brother of Kabir Ali).
Indian team has Mayank Tehlan who is a cousin of Sehwag and plays in the same style as his famous cousin.

Second U-19 test was played at Kolkata from 27 to 30 January 2005. India U-19 won this match by an innings and 106 runs:

India,having taken a winning 2-0 lead in the 3 match series played a new look team with more than half a dozen dubutants in the playing eleven in the third and final test at Jamshedpur. The result however was no different. India won by an innings and 137 runs in two and a half days.

The vice captain Manoj Tewari is from West Bengal.

Looks like these English kids have no clue about sub continent conditions. Would they do the same if they came to BD?

After the test series, the two teams are playing 5 match OD series. The first two matches were played in Agartala on 8 & 9 february.
Result: India 2-0 ahead
