*Highest 2nd wicket partnership for Bangladesh against any opposition

*Second highest partnership of 153 runs for any wicket for Bangladesh against any opposition after the opening partnership of 170 between Mehrab & Shahriar Hossain scored against Zimbabwe during 1999 Meril Cup.

*Century partnership for the 2nd wicket for Bangladesh against any opponent in ODIs

*Second fastest fifty for any Bangladeshi made by Aftab Ahmed (50 off 33 balls) breaking (I think) Ashraful's 2nd fastest fifty against Zimbabwe only last year

Congratulations to Bangladesh for coming from 0-2 behind and winning 3-2. The most satisfying fact was that they won by chasing. This will give them the self belief that they are capable of chasing. Having thrown this monkey out of their back is the most important achievement of BD in this series, in my opinion.

The new generation players are showing the way for Bangladesh. I hope the gains of this series will be consolidated in the coming weeks and not frittered away by celebrating too much, because bigger and sterner tests lie ahead.

an obvious one - personal best for aftab - goes without saying. rafique missed beating his previous best 77 against kenya.

Had Aftab scored a century, which was looking very likely at one point, he would have 4th youngest ODI century maker (based on "official" age), beating out amongst others, Mehrab Hossain, who is currently #7 for his 101 against ZImbabwe some years back.

Rafique and Aftab shared one other new record - most boundaries in an innings. They both scored 52, beating the only previous instance of 50 or better - the 50 scored off boundaries by Rafique in his 77 against Kenya.

Rafiq was a demolition derby as well!!!!
For few overs Zimbabwe players were clueless.

Chokkas and Choukas became a norm for a while:lol:
