All appears to be valuable. However, I have chosen Aftab since his partnership with Rafiq in that decisive match solidified our first ODI series victory against Zimbabwe.

agree with you completely. Akram's knock was the most "valuable" amongst all those.

In 1992 (as far my memory goes) in ICC tournament in Kenya BD was almost beaten by USA chasing 132 (or so). At one stage BD was 32 for 5. Then Akram Khan rescued us Akram saved us from a humiliation.

if akram hadn't played that knock, we would've lost to holland (we almost lost that match) we wouldn't have reached world cup, wouldn't have got ODI or test status, and still would be an ICC associate member. that innings by akram against holland opened our door to world cricket. so, i think akram's innings against holland in ICC trophy was the most important innings by a BD batsman.

Its not in the poll, but I would put Pilot's 103* in the first test at St. Lucia against WI on top. Without his ton BD might have faced an another Test defeat. At one stage BD were down to 79/6 when Pilot came in and anchored a 281 balls innings. It was a great knock with character, patience and determination that gave us the first respectable draw in Test cricket.

Akram Khan's Innings Against Holland in the ICC Trophy. Because it was our start. This is the best innings I think.

For me it has to be Nafees. However, I am not familiar with some of the others, like Akram. It is a matter of debate whether Bangladesh would never have made it beyond associate status if he hadnt played that knock. But we will never know, of course.

another innings that should have been included in the poll is Pilot's innings in the ICC Trophy final 97, against Kenya. If he hadnt hit that huge six of Martin Suji in the last over, Bangladesh wouldnt have won the match. I think that innings of Pilot is very significant, but Akram's innings is the most valuable, no doubt.

Are you all forgetting something...Pilot's valuable 103..that a) enabled us to secure our first ever declaration and then our first ever hard fought fully deserved draw??....I'd count that as one of the most valuable innings by a bangladeshi batsman.
