Please watch this footage and reflect :)

The unplayable delivery (http://games.banglacricket.com/picture.php?cmd=show&p=174)

This is the same delivery that got Dravid out in exactly same fashion during IND's 1st innings in 1st Test.

Wow. Splendid! Thanks for the footage..

btw, I have never doubted his ability. I just said I was a bit dismayed at his results compared to others (both Zimb and Bang) in the series.

who ever doubted masri's ability? except for the post by fat_bob "mashrafee is an overrated weaklink", which was nominated by someone as the worst post of the year!

fab: it was just a general statement, I wasn't referring to you :)

Agent: there are still those who doubt him whenever he gets less wickets or no wicket.

Some of our fans have still not grasped the reality in the ODI and TEST League. They think a good player will succeed on every series.

In time they will calm down.

Btw, does it not remind one of the two Wasim Akram's wicket taking delivery in middle overs in WC1992 final?

Thats the ball that I was mentioning earlier, the one that comes in, his surprise delivery. Best ball (along with the one that got Dravid) I have seen bowled by a Bangladesh seamer ever!

a) It actually shapes away slightly before pitching and seaming in. The hint of away sing makes the batsman open up and creates the gap between bat and pad.

b) Perfect lenght - a fullish goodlength which draws the batsmen forward

c) Lovely bounce - manages to take the top of the stump. All pace bowlers pracice that drill. Where you try to hit the top of the stumps - this is a picture perfect illustration.

d) Delivered with some pace - Viru has one of the quickest eyes in internation cricket but he comes accross as being a little slow-to-react in this one.

e) Seamed in a long way. At least 30 degrees based on the slo-mo.

Once Masree can bowl, with the same action a delivery that shapes away and upon pitching, holds its line then "khobor achey" :)

Also, has anyone noticed that Masree has modified his runup/action to the extent that nowadays he hides the ball? :)

Don't think anybody ever doubted Mashrafee's ability. Great clip though.
