It is often said that the lack of experience of playing on bouncy and grassy wickets is the major cause of inconsistency in BD batting. However, we did not see any such weakness on the part of New Zealand while visiting BD. Is characteristics of pitch a over hyped issue? Moreover, what does it take to make varieties of pitches for domesticate fixtures? Is it that difficult?

I do think it is important, and could definately be the difference between wickets taken / runs scored because off odd bounce and what not.
