Thank you very much, Rabeed. Someone already mentioned you are the bearer of goodnews. :)

Congratulations to the little tigers.

at least one good news from BD cricket ... I was bored by the performance of BCB XI .

little_master
February 22, 2005, 08:51 AM
there is no strike bowler in BCB XI...and the result follows.
But the the little tigers show the aggression. :joy::great:

Hope I hit a purple patch!:D....

winning is a great habit...but...the only thing we are gaining as a team from this particular series is 'CONFIDENCE.'

DstarRab
February 22, 2005, 08:54 AM
The players must make the best of this opportunity and the batsmen in particular should do more. 142 for 6 and then the number 8 rescues the side with a hundred....this is not a solid performance.

chinaman
February 22, 2005, 09:08 AM
True, but this is kind of beginning of a new 'habit'. I'd grab it with both hands as they come by and anyway they came for now. I think, as we see more wins come by our way, the performance curve will look better.

ntv news just said that we bowled them out for around 150 runs.

Sakib took a 5-for.

Thanx Rabeed, It's really cool.
Zim A team is going to strengthen by the inclusion of Andy Blignaut in the last test. However, I believe that is not going to make any difference to our boys' performance.

Sam
February 22, 2005, 09:22 AM
Now we have to win the one-dayers' series. It should be done in style.

Guys, I read somewhere that ZIM A was recently thrashed by NAMIBIA 2-0 in an One day series, the last one was saved because of rain . So there is not much to be happy about this win anwyay, although I do feel that we are winning now a days regularly, thats a lot already.

In near future, I would like to see our teams playing more of A teams from bigger cricketing nations, then we will be more assured about our status and standing in world cricket.

Cricinfo had Shahadat Hossain first when started the live update, then corrected to Shahzada.
It confused the heck out of us!

So what if namabia beat them or not they r playing our under 19 team....

Based on the fact that none of the pacers took any wicket 'cept yesterday when the ball was new, it would appear that the pitch really disintegrated into a turner. No wickets for Shahadat - still needs some flatitis medicine? :)

I agree with you but in certain level.....I totally agree that we need to play with bigger nations 'A' team...........but There is also some level of happiness about the win becoz some of our players are very very young.........at least we have found some to work with.

But its true that it does not reflect our standard.

Regardless of how weak is the ZIM-A team, this is a great performance by our team-a so far. In Zim-A team there are 4 players from national side, whereas in our team, its mainly U-19 team with no-one from the national team (except for Enamul).

However you see it, its still a very good perfromance from our u-19 players.

considering that this BD A team is more or less like the U-19 team, the organizers should try to hold a series between BD-U19 and India-U-19... really eager to see how BD U-19 performs against India, who just thrashed the English boys in the 3 Tests and 5 ODIs!
