Which of these opening pairs in recent history you think was the most impressive to watch them play together ?

(The list is in no particular order, and no pair from Bangladesh was included, since we have had numerous discussions about them in the Bangladesh Cricket section of this forum)

Gilchrist and Waugh by a long way, awesome combination and both great to watch. The way they built that 200 partnership in the Carlton & United series was great

well, I am only a 16 year old... so I wanted to restrict the poll with the combinations from recent history, the ones that I have seen play together!

if this poll includes test partnerships then lagner-hayden should be there for sure.

Of recent one's: Haydn/Langer is missing from above

Going back a few years: Boon/Marsh

Historically:

Hobbs/Sutcliff
Haynes/Greenidge
Bill lawery/Bob Simpson
etc

i voted for sachin saurav. however, i found the greenidge-haynes partnership more devastating

Hayden and Langer are todays most devestating partnership. Too bad they are in australia... a team which doesnt need so much good players.

Hayden/Langer have just taken it up a step from Taylor/Slater, who should also be on the list ahead of Astle/Fleming

The all time greatest Opening Partynership is, in my opinion, Grdon Greenidge/Desmond Hays.

From this list there are so many great choices here. Let me say in this order;

1. Gilchrist/Waugh
2. Anwar/Amer
2. Kalu/Jayasurya.

I agree with Couger- in both forms of the game, Gordon and Desi were unbeliavable!

Among the choices that were given i would go for Saurav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar but in all time it has to be Desmond Haynes and Gordon Greenidge
