Our coach Ali Zia said, this time our goal is not a draw, but a win.

I hope its not just the subcontinet standard empty words.

I had been looking at the old scorecards - Bangladesh have played SriLanka only 6 times - all in Asia cups; and Bangladesh batsman have not got past the 200 run mark in any of the matches. (though some of the matches were curtailed to around 45 overs for rain or bad weather conditions).

So, I think the goal of this Bangladesh side should be to score 200 runs in all 3 ODIs.

And I am not too sure about the test matches - as to what should be our goal.

WE got to watch out for Murali. We are playing on spinning surfaces. I hope Rafique and Enamul can out match him..

Why don't we take the offer from Zimbabwe in August . We can win one more series for sure then .

ReckMyBack,

Because you dont just want wins.

You also want wins against quality opponents.

Bangladesh has shown they can beatr Zimbabwe, India and Australia, and the Windies are ripe for the taking.

I think our goal should be more/higher than this, against Sri Lanka. Say one win out of 3 ODI, if not more and aim to score 230+ in every ODI. BD is capable to that but need confidence.

Back in that 2002 series, Hannan Sarkar, Alok Kapali, Tapash Baisya, Talha Jubair - they all played their debut series. It was also the last tour played by Aminul Islam Bulbul.

in the tests we should look for a fighting draw without intervention of rain and a win would be nice in the one dayers.

by the way, when does this tour actually start?

by the way, when does this tour actually start? - its in September.

The way we've played Australian spinners today - even a win in the One Dayers is impossible, let alone a test match win!

ash may be due for a couple to tons, write that down.

other than that can't say much. we could see 113-2 to 140 all out again.
