I think its time BCB lets Alok Kapali go. This sounds like a bold statement because Alok was such a hot prospect player. But he is a perfect example of someone who has wasted his talent. Over the years his bowling helped to label him as an all rounder, now i wouldnt consider him no more than a once in a while part timer. Plus his batting and fielding has detoriated. Particularly his batting is extremely disappointing. He cannot get starts and has to play loose shots. He is also extremely vulnerable against the new ball, and most of the time number 5 is exposed within the first 15 overs. I feel BCB has given him enough chances. Duleep Trophy should be his last outing. After that BCB should consider other players like Tushar Imran.

I think that Alok Kapali should be given time back in the NCL. He should also try and find a team in the off season like in england. Maybe not a county team but maybe a Lancashire League team. He should be in these teams for another 2-3 years to let him develop because he is still young. By the end of this time he will hopefully be mature and scoring runs consistently. Lets hope for a good comeback.

alok kapali needs to be dropped from the national team but he should play for the a-team until he shows he can perform only then he should be allowed back to the national team if only there is spot open. and if he cant perform in the a-team then he should be dropped from there too. doesnt matter how much talent a player has the player has to perform. mehrab hussein opi had great talent too but they dropped him. i think kapali is following the same step as opi. i dont mean kapali is taking drugs. he is out of form and he needs to prove himself all over again.

Unfortunatley this bashing will continue as long as Kapali continue to be selected (regardless) and and unable to produce any signifant way in the game. Its basically ruining his career.

He needs a break from national team to gain his form as well as confidence back. The sooner the selectors realize that the better it is for the fans as well as for Alok's career.

Give him a break. He is been picked on too many times. He got an important wicket of abbas ali but continue his failure to pass 10 or 15 with run. He needs to show some performance to prove the BD fans wrong

come on guys. At least Kapali scores around 13 runs. How about AL Shahriar with his 0s?

We cant leave him alone because the national selectors dont leave him alone. Therefore we have to be dissapointed by him.

Kapali saved some honor with his 45 in the 2nd in the 2nd innings.

13+13+12+45, much better than Rokons :ducks:s

Oh ****! BCB finally showed up against the Central Zone. They scored 199/6. Some players such as Rana, Alok and Ash had starts but none made a century! Good to see!

The Alok-controvercy is probably one of the most popular thread-topic in this forum (anotheris is Chacha-controvercy) .... but isn't this one becoming a little bit bitter?

Like Alok himself... we fans desperately need a break from talking about it as well!

kapali made 45 and got an important wicket in the ist innings. so some honor was saved. i say, give him a break for now. if I were alok, i would stay with BCB X1 or A team this year before even thinking of coming back to the national side. he needs a break from us too

he is still one of my fave players, he is very talented but is struggling to show it, HE WILL come to form and show his potential in the national team and silence all the people that keep picking on him! :fanflag:
