maybe he is. but i am surprised that i didnt hear any news about him. hope he plays the next round. because he has the speed now he needs good line and length. this guy could be a future prospect for the national team.

Whoa! 8!!! Nice going. Rabeed, it would be really cool if, after seeing him in action, you can post something about his action. Is it clean? Is there visible bending? etc. TIA

According to The Daily Star "Rajshahi continued their dominance at the Chittagong Divisional Stadium when the visitors, fresh after their one-day success, bowled Chittagong out for 206 with the pace trio of Sumon Shaha, Shahajada and Alamgir Kabir sharing nine wickets. "
it does'nt say Palash too 8 wickets!
or is it in 2nd innings?

Sorry

i hope he's really good. or else it just shows how weak our batsmen are against quickies, and says a lot about our domestic cricket.

i read in the newspaper somebody in the opponent team complained about his action while he was playing the first few mathces. He got injured after playing the first couple of games and that is why he did not feature in the next games

So he was injured indeed. I just wondered where he was gone! Now we found him with 8-wicket-haul.

how fast is he again? 86*1.6 = 137 km/hr? how much do you have to add to that? if i'm right, i wouldn't be so happy about the pace bowler hunt since even tapash the shorty can bowl faster than that. however, if modification in action ultimately does wonders for this guy's pace and line and length, the hunters deserve a

Could somebody tell me what is the correct spelling of his name? Is it Washcoroni or Washkuruni or perhaps some other combination of the vowels?

Another thought for AsifTheManRahman. 86mph is not bad if you have movements. Remember what Pathan did to us with similar speed?

Wascoroni

yes i wouldn't mind if he has enough movement

Pathan isnt that fast. He bowls around 80mph.

Pathan constantly bowled at ~135 km/h against Bangladesh, which is 83-84 mph.

But I think in pakistan series, he is bowling much slower. Most likely closer to 80 mph than 84 mph. Some of the inidian reporters are complaining about his lack of speed in this current series. Is he hurt?

after killing us last december and being smacked by ashraful, pathan has nothing left for the time being.

Are you saying Ashraful beat the Pathan out of Irfan and he hasn't been the same since?

If not Ashraful, definitely the other Pathan (Afridi) did the job.

BD Newspapers sux! The guys scores a hat-trick - possibly the 1st one of the season and we have to find out about it on the notes section of the scorecard?

http://pluslive.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/2004-05/BDESH_LOCAL/NCL/SCORECARDS/CHTGNG_RJSHI_NCL_28-31MAR2005.html

Wascoroni Ahmed hat-trick when dismissing Farhad Hossain, Naeem Islam and Hasanuzzman in Rajshahi 1st innings.

i said it before that this guy is a future prospect. taking 8 wickets in one innins in only his 3rd first class match is something special. he has a hatrick too. if you look at the score board you will see he completely distroyed rajshahi batting line up. he got his hatrick by taking the wicket of farhad hussein, neem islam and hassanuzaman. he bowled 17 overs and took 8 wicket. we seen many centuries in this years league which tells me that the wicket is bating friendly. polash taking 8 wicket in one innins is just wonderful. i am becoming a very big fan of his. i hope he can continue to get better and i would like to see him opening the bowling for our country soon. but he needs more experience before that. inshallah he can contiue to improve.

From DS "... But the stocky quick then ran through the Rajshahi batting ..."

Hmm so he's not tall - another Md. Sharif in the making? Back in the day (200-2001 season) Sharif used to be quite nippy and took oodles of wickets and was the next big thing.
