What do you think is going to happen to Bangladesh?
Is there going to be any surprises?
How far can Bangladesh progress?
Who is the Bangladeshi player that the oponents will be most aware of?
Who is going to be the Hit-Man for Bangladesh?

There are at least three threads dealing with the same topic. Maybe a bit more observation in starting a new thread wouldn't hurt.

Well, here are my answers to your questions. I am trying to be as realistic as possible.
1) They will be many accolades for Bangladesh and
people would start supporting them on a wider
scale.
2) They will surely create some upsets in the w'cup.
3) They will atleast make it to the 'super 8'.
4) Mohammad Rafique.
5) Ash or Kowshik.

- What do you think is going to happen to Bangladesh?

Everybody (including myself) will expect Bangladesh to beat at least two teams to move onto the next round: the number 4 ICC Qualifier team and one of the two test nations - either India or Sri Lanka.

- Is there going to be any surprises?

The surprise for us will be that even after beating either Sri Lanka or India, Bangladesh will not be able to move onto the next round on the basis of a superior run rate by the other team.

- How far can Bangladesh progress?

Like I said: it'll be a heart-breaker for us as we'll not be able to make it to the next round even after we play really well in all our matches and win 2 of our 3 matches. And everybody (including all the expert commentators all around the world) will say that yes, we deserved to be playing in the next round.

- Who is the Bangladeshi player that the oponents will be most aware of?

Any new player who has not yet shown his true colors, as of yet. It could be Enamul Haque Junior (yes, in an ODI), or Aftab Ahmed; but since both of them have already shown what they're made of, so it won't be either of them. That's why, I'm counting on all the new debutants that we manage to come out with, who will be 'the' player from Bangladesh.

- Who is going to be the Hit-Man for Bangladesh?

One of the seniors who will not be able to play in the world cup after the 2007 world cup: Habibul Bashar (may be), Md. Rafique, Khaled Mahmud etc.

1. Make it to new Super 8 round..... If not then at least a couple of wins against test nations.

2. Beating India or Pakistan...

3. Super 8 round

4. Enamul or a player that hasnt come up yet. Ashraful could do well too...

5. Dunno

All WC 2007 question posters should get a time machine and travel to 2007 to see what is going to happen.

It's impossible to say what will happen in the next two years... but look at this:

Kumble born in 1970
Dravid '70
Ganguly '72
Tendulkar '73

maybe all of them will retire from the game before the next WC, if that happens we could consider that the Indian team will be weaker in close future (and Bangladesh could beat it...;) )
