again it's consistency. rubel has done much better in this test match from what i've seen, he's bowled less full deliveries and less shorter ones and bowled alot more at a good length. pacers need to have a stock ball which comes off a good length/back of a length which is on off or just outside off and is used most of the time and they need to use their variations to surprise the batsmen and change things up everynow and then.

rubel has a good yorker, but when he bowls it 2 or 3 times an over it's useless, shafi has a good bouncer but if he bowls it 2/3 times an over batsmen will expect it and you're more likely to get a wicket if they don't expect it. all 3 of them bowl on the legs and too straight too often.

basic bowling is to use your stock ball 4/5 times an over then mix it up for 1 or 2 balls. the reason the wicket taking balls aren't taking wickets is because the batsmen aren't under enough pressure at the time because the bowlers aren't keeping their line and length tight enough. plus if you bowl the right length and the right line (just outside off) and you keep the seem up then your more likely to get movement off the pitch which will toruble the batsman more than if it's on their legs.
