Default Looking Ahead: England Test Series Squad

i think we're about to get drilled in the caribbean. in light of that, i'd rather focus on real cricket, a format where we've shown even realer game in recent months.

i'm really excited about this series, and this time there is at least a shred of sanity in that excitement. our batting lineup no longer looks clueless, and while our bowling is quite thin, batting will stretch contests to a 5th day.

so here is my list of the 15 that should sail to her majesty's island.

Tamim Iqbal - auto choice - i'd like to see a 100 at lords, and then some more
Shakib al Hasan - auto choice - i'd like to see a ten-fer and him outbowling swann.
Mushfiqur Rahim - auto choice - please don't keep wicket, at least to the spinners
Mahmudullah - auto choice - i'd like to see some big fifties (70+) and a few wickets
Junaid Siddique - auto choice - i want to see the fight he had at mirpur
Shafiul Islam - auto choice - i think he will like the england surfaces
Jahirul Islam - lets see what he has to offer
Rubel Hossain - lets hope he's luckier this time around
Naeem Islam - auto choice - i think he's got the goods and is read to make a delivery
Talha Jubair - been doing it at domestic level for years now, deserves a fair trail
Shahadat Hossain - no one else is present, might as well take him
Enamul Haque - at least he won't stray down leg 3 times an over
Shurawardy Shuvo - deserves a chance since i can't think of anyone else
Imrul Kayes - don't want him in the XI, but he'll be a backup
