when he started his career he had good pace due to his height got good bounce. good control in line and length, and also good seam and swing. specially he bowled very well to Left hand batsman. aamir sohail, saeed anwar , gary kirsten used to have problems with him. also one of the early exponents of slower balls in death bowler. also as a bowler he had a very aggressive attitude. he had decent success at home and away in both forms.

later part of his career he lost a lot of pace and almost become a shahadat pace bowler. though still he could coz trouble to batsman with control and variation. we used to joke that kumble is slow medium pace bowler and prasad is fast leg spinner. there was even time when prasad used to bowl 6 leg cutter/off cutters slowers in the death overs and bamboozled batsman.

so not one of the great bowlers but one of the top 5 pacers india had since Kapil Dev has retired.

he is vegetarian.
