BCB CEO Manzur Ahmed dies

Manzur Ahmed, chief executive officer of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), died Tuesday morning at his old DOHS residence in the capital. He was 57.
BCB officials confirmed the news at a programme organised at a city hotel ahead of the Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20 tournament.
Manzur was schedule to attend the programme.
Manzur, a former national cricketer, also served as CEO of Brunei Darussalam Cricket Association.
He took over the role of CEO from acting CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury in September, 2010.
Manzur had represented Bangladesh as a wicketkeeper in the early 1980s and has had a distinguished club and zonal cricket career spanning two decades.
He was an engineering graduate of the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and had completed his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration of Dhaka University. He was also an IT specialist.
Manzur, the elder brother of former national wicketkeeper turned computer analyst Nasir Ahmed Nasu, is BCB's third CEO after Zimbabwean Macky Dudhia and Mahmudur Rahman.
