how about gorgeous northern california-san francisco bay area. I love the weather here. plenty of places to go within 3-4 years or even 1-2 hours.
Lake tahoe, Yosemeite, Shasta Lake, Leggete, Half moon bay, santa cruz, Reno, san francisco bay, golden gate, Moneterey etc. Southern cal also has plenty to see including san diego
