The beautiful places I have in my mind are all lost in current times. Dhaka in the 70's and 80's. We use to live in Shamoli (BACHS) beyond the ring road. A lake (full of fishes - Fisheries Department came and had projects there) adjacent our house with a boat. Had cows, chicken, goats and of course vegetable nursaries. Living inside the city limits yet enjoying gram-bangla at the same time.
Now? I can't even recognize how to get to my home!!
