Skipper Nafees sent home
The Bangladesh A team captain Shahriar Nafees was sent home from India yesterday on disciplinary grounds, just a day before the third and final four-dayer against the Karnataka State Cricket Association (Colts) in Bangalore, India,.
“In line with the recommendations of the team management, Shahriar Nafees was sent home for breach of discipline,” said BCB Cricket Operations chairman Enayet Hossain Siraj.
He also added that they would take disciplinary action against Shahriar on the basis of the report to be provided by team management.
It has been learnt that Nafees lingered at the crease after the umpire adjudged him out on the second day of the four-dayer against the Karnataka State Cricket Association XI. He was later summoned by the match commissioner and was warned.
Bangladesh A lost the second match after drawing the first game against Barda Cricket Association XI in the Safi Darashah Invitational Tournament.
