Well, usually when a company licenses or provides something they would like to receive some credit for it e.g. mentioning that the photo was uploaded on FB or Twitter. The person who uploaded it might not be able to sue for infringement (I'll have to double check this) but the social networking site may, if they are not credited for hosting the site (even if they license it to newspapers, websites, etc.)
