That is so ridiculous. Improving hand-eye coordination, improving skill, and improving temperament are all very hard things to do. But one of the easiest things to control and improve is fitness. We may not have the skills and technique of the top Nations, but we can be in better shape than anyone. Yes, that may not lead to scoring 300+, but it could improve our fielding, late inning bowling, and running between the wickets, which would probably save us like 15-20 runs a match. Definitely worth it in my opinion.
If you are getting paid to play a game, you better be working your *** off every single day. Simple as that.
