Sri Lanka will have a bit of a challenge in the next couple of years.

Replacing Sanga, Mahela, Dilshan, Herath, Samaraweera and so many other veterans around the same time will be tough.

But they replaced veterans like Arjuna, Aravinda De Silva, Jayasuriya. Although Herath and Mendis are nowhere close to Murali, at least there is no void.

So question is who replaces the current crop of outgoing superstars. Kushal Perera is expected to take over from Dilshan. Looks good, but very unpredictable. Thirimane is the highest rated batsmen and in the Sanga mold. But so far has blown hot and cold. Ashan Priyanjan tries to play like Mahela, but doesnt seem to have the same quality. Chandimal has flopped. Only player who looks assured to take over is Angelo Mathews.

Will be a tough couple of years, but we shouldnt be surprised if they manage to bring a new crop of superstars just like that.
