Young medium pacers may have success in English and newzealand pitches, but it's tough going in flat tracks in subcontinent. One of the main reasons why hardly any Indian pace bowler went on to became world class.
Not necessarily all of young prospects got to bowl 140k plus. Around 135k ish is good enough if there is control. Chaminda Vaas is a great example. But yeah if there is pace, it adds that x factor
