Well... there are two seperate issues b.bangla is talking about:
1. The problem of 'One-Liner' posts.
2. The simplicity of the user ranking system.
Even though bb links these two things straightforward... I don't agree thats always the case. Some of the users are by nature 'One-liners' and yes that is a problem. Often these 'One-line-threads' target to create an exciting threads or arguments.... and because it is easy to create a controvercy by saying less tharn more..those members tend to do that. We try to discourage it if the issure raised gets too useless.. other members can also ignore it and refrain from replying to it.
And about the simplicity of the user-ranking system (which, in bb's view is oversimplified)... well, I have nothing much to say. This ranking is merely a representation of a user's posting frequency and doesn't necessarily represent the user's quality as a member. We do have some very good posters/members who post very infrequently and because they tend to make 'less in quantity but more in quality' posts.. their ranking is lower than many. IMO....Let's not take this user-ranking too seriously.
