that is not true. NOt all camera can capture the data some of these dslr raw files can capture. sure a good cameraman can playaround with the light source and come up with better pictures than someone with comparable camera.. but with right lens and right camera - a novice can get better pictures in my opinion than some photographer with a one time kodak camera.
A lot of it is the right equipment and software. And then the vision.
