or if you are married with elder parents/in-laws, you can buy multi generational homes and can either rent or let parents/in-laws other side. That will cover mortgage as well as marriage. When you wife/in-laws are in good mood keep the connecting door open, if it comes too much stressful to you marriage shut down the connecting door for a while.... it will be two separate home.
