I guess we are all impressed by the good show of pride by the Australians after being forced to the follow-on, but I still think they have no chance to save this test:
they are at 222/4, let's be optimistic and say they could even close on a total of stg like 450 runs. This would give England a 200 runs target, which they could easily score.
I guess it was right by Vaughan to enforce the follow on as there was a chance to reduce the Aussies to a humiliating (and historical) defeat by innings. It would have been a triumph for the English, so why not trying?
