I know what I am about to say now might and will lead some people to climb on my back and start beating me down but I will tell you what I feel whatever the consequences. First of all there are many reasons for this kind of actions but one the important reason is that according to me this takes place in societies where sex is a taboo word. If you have sex education in school and make it out to be the normal human activity that it is then there will be less curiosity and a different outlook on such issues. Moreover, the people who rape are most probably sexually frustrated and I feel that if you legalize prostitution then rapes and forceful acts will come down by a large extent but not completely. I am not saying allow prostitutes to roam about all over the city, just that the government might legalize prostitution in brothels and allocate specific areas for this purpose or make escorting legal. This way people in a "conservative" society will have a place to "satisfy their demand" without having to rape some girl. However this is just a thought and i know people will voice their concerns against it but I would love to hear your views on how to make sure you dont give "birth" to rapists in a society. If people respect the opposite sex and if sex is not treated like it is in Bangladesh for example then I guess these crimes would become less. However even after this there might be some people who will end up doing this crime and they should be castrated. I would love to see what other people have to say regarding this issue and what kind of solutions they have on offer.
