What a turnaround a month and half makes. dallas started the season 0-4. Then the ran 25-3. Back on top Take that spurs, utah, lake show, phoenix. Whereas, the clips started 4-1 then went the otherway 10-16. Philly are more pathetic. They started 3-0 and then 6-22.
King James is on a mission. Must give props to the Magic leading the division still.
NBA's Problem:
A team from Atlantic Division will get in to the playoffs with a below .500 record. That is a disgrace. If one looks at Baseball, last season alone there were 6 teams with above .500 record who did not see the playoff. This is after playing a grueling 162 games. Chicago White Sox the then defending champs with a .556 record could not even get in to the playoffs. If one looks at NFL, he/she would see there were 8 teams with a .500 or better record didn't make the playoffs.
This season another problem may occur. Having a better record another team in the central or southeastern conference in the east may not get into the playoffs. Currently Miami is ahead of Toronto and New Jersey still they can't be in the playoffs.
The solution:
NBA need to lessen the # of playoff teams ASAP and change the playoff format. 6 best record teams from the regular season getting into the playoffs would solve the problem. In that case conference leaders may get bumped out but that is something we have to live with. Then the quality of the playoffs would be better. NBA players will have a larger off season. Team USA can be better served.
