One of my buddies in London is a Faujian, and through him I have made friends with guys from PCC and FCC in Dhaka and NY. A friend of mine here in Toronto is from MGCC. They've helped dispell plenty of rumours and preconceptions many of us English medium kids seem to develop about Cadet College kids.
My parents considered sending me to FCC when I was in class 6 too... but that idea died out for similar reasons.
